California sweetgum

Liquidambar californicum, commonly known as California sweetgum, is a deciduous ornamental tree in the Altingiaceae family, suitable for USDA zones 5–9. It prefers full sun and medium water, growing to a height of 12–20 meters. This tree thrives in loamy, clay, or sandy soils. It is not fragrant, does not attract pollinators, is non-toxic, and is not evergreen.
