American sweetgum

Liquidambar aspleniifolia, commonly known as American sweetgum, is a deciduous ornamental tree in the Altingiaceae family. It requires full sun and medium water, growing well in clay, loamy, or sandy soils within USDA zones 4–9. This tree can reach a significant height of 10–20 meters. It blooms with green and yellow flowers in April and May. It is not fragrant, does not attract pollinators, is non-toxic, and not evergreen.
