The Spring crocus is a small perennial ornamental plant belonging to the Iridaceae family. It thrives in full sun with low water requirements and is suitable for USDA zones 3–8. Growing to a height of 0.1–0.2 m, it produces fragrant purple, white, yellow, or pink flowers in early spring (February to April) in loamy soil.
