Lavandula angustifolia
Lavandula angustifolia, or Lavender, is a fragrant perennial shrub native to the Mediterranean region. It thrives in full sun with low water needs, growing 0.6–1 meter tall. This plant prefers sandy, loamy, or chalky soils and is evergreen. It blooms from June to August in various shades of purple, blue, pink, and white, attracting numerous pollinators. Lavender is hardy in USDA zones 5–9 and is not toxic.
