Hornbeam alder

Alnus carpinoides, commonly known as Hornbeam alder, is a deciduous tree in the Betulaceae family, categorized as ornamental. It thrives in full sun and requires medium water, growing to a height of 10–20 meters. It blooms in green and yellow during spring (April-May) and prefers loamy soil. It is suitable for USDA zones 5–9.
