Pinus nigra, known as Australian pine or Black pine, is an evergreen tree that can grow very large, reaching heights of 15–30 meters. It is a tree type that prefers full sun and low water conditions, adaptable to clay, sandy, loamy, or chalky soils. It is hardy in USDA zones 5–8. While it does not attract pollinators and is not toxic, its blooming period is unknown.
