Iris unguicularis
Iris unguicularis, the Algerian iris, is a perennial ornamental plant that prefers full sun and medium watering. It grows to a height of 0.2–0.4 meters in USDA zones 7–9. This iris thrives in sandy, loamy, or chalky soils and blooms from late fall through early spring with blue and purple flowers. It is evergreen, attracts pollinators, but is not fragrant and not toxic.
